Investment company (SICAV | SICAF)

Definition
The investment company (also denominated as „corporate form“ of an investment undertaking) is based on the legal form of a corporation according to Liechtenstein Company Law (Art. 261 until 367 PGR).
Difference between variable and fixed capital
The structure of this legal form can be differed in variable (AGmvK) or fixed capital. The investment company with variable capital is equivalent to the SICAV (société d’investissement à capital variable) in Luxembourg. The investment company with fixed capital is equivalent to the SICAF (société d’investissement à capital fixe) in Luxembourg.
Difference between being managed by itself or third-party managed
The investment company can be managed by itself or third-party managed. In the third-party managed form the management of the company is delegated to a management company according to Liechtenstein IUA.
